Halloween

This was the first year Ainsley chose her own costume.  She wanted to be a "scary witch".  So I went and found the least scary witch costume I could find.  There was quite a selection of witch costumes, mind you.  My favorite part of the outfit was the striped tights.  We'll have to find some way to use these in the future!

After purchasing the costume, she had to try it on for nearly everyone who came to the house.  She even wore it to Skype with Grammy.
Scary?
Durham's costume fulfilled my momly goal of being warm enough for him to come out trick-or-treating in the evening chill.  Our little Monkey.

We started off the night by going to Grandma and Grandpa Roberts's house for pizza and candy.  Then we came back home to trick-or-treat around our own neighborhood.  Grammy met us at the house and walked around with us.

Ainsley loved going up to the doors to say the required phrase.  She was even very good about saying thank you.  After a few houses, she decided that she can do this by HERSELF.  She didn't need an adult walking up to the door with her.  We found out later she was requesting two pieces of candy from every home.  One for her, the other for Durham.  What a nice girl.

Durham enjoyed the freeze-dried fruits and puffs he got from his Grandmas.
We met up with quite a few family members while out.  Great-Grandma, Great-Aunts and Uncles, Second Cousins, teachers, former and current students.  We knew nearly everyone we came across.  What a fun night!
Posing with one of her cousins!
