Grammy spends a lot of time helping us. She was our personal daycare for over a year. She is our emergency helper for all babysitter problems still. Our kids aren't real easy, so she knows that she may receive a phone call any day from a babysitter in distress. She drops everything to come to our aid.
She took Ainsley to her first day of school. She taught Ainsley how to climb stairs and scream. (I will always remember coming home from work to hear "I taught Ainsley how to scream today!")
She taught Ainsley how to sit up and use a sippy cup (while we were on vacation in St. Louis).
She comes to every grandchild event she can possibly make. If it's raining and 35 degrees, she's there. If it's sunny and 98 degrees, she's there. Carrying a camera.
Nowadays, she and Papa are busy doing retired-people stuff. Traveling, golfing, buying leather chaps.
Here she is with the kids on Papa's motorcycle.
Ainsley likes the motorcycle as much as Papa does.
We host a dinner for Grammy's birthday every year. Here she is with all her grandchildren. The oldest is 14, youngest is 7 months.
Happy Birthday, Grammy!
Blowing out the candles. Together.
What would we all do without grandparents?? You are so lucky to have Grammy and I can only imagine the joy she gets from her precious grandkids. Neat post!
