Easter

Easter morning started bright and early for Durham, who had been awake since 6 am, but Ainsley came out of her room a bit later.  She had been prepped for egg hunting and Easter basket-finding the night before.  Grandma Roberts had made both of the kids gift bags with their names on them to use for Easter egg hunting.  Mom and Dad were ready to watch her ravenously enjoy this game.

All fired up to find the eggs.  But wait, let's get a picture first.
The eggs weren't too hard to find.  She wandered through the upstairs of the house collecting the eggs.  She continued collecting the eggs until she realized they contained goodies.  After this, she simply wanted to open each one and eat the treasure within.  Mom and Dad hadn't planned for this.  Too much chocolate before church might not be a good idea.  We distracted her with Easter basket talk.

"I wonder if the Easter bunny brought a basket, too?  Where could it be?"

"This one is PURPLE!"

"Ohhh!  What is this?"

She didn't' even move it from its hiding spot.
She just kept going back here to retrieve more goodies.

I guess we go to church all hopped up on chocolate.

Durham got to look at the toy.  He wasn't too excited.
After church, we headed over to Grammy and Papa's house.  There was another Easter egg hunt planned here.  This one was outside and much more exciting.

Quick family photo.  Grammy was trying to get Ainsley to
smile by pointing at her own mouth.  Ainsley decided to copy her.

More?!

Bryce was helping her find the eggs.

There were a lot of spectators.

She walked right past this one.

After a lovely meal and more family time, we went home to sleep off all our excitement.  Ainsley begged to do impromptu egg hunts for weeks afterward.
