Our first month with this little guy was quite a time of learning and growing. Mama and Daddy were used to diaper changes for a baby girl. This little guy gave a show nearly every time we changed his diaper. We went through a lot of clothes in the first month, just due to urine splashing everywhere! Durham had painful gas that caused a lot of crying. He slept nearly the whole month in a little seat that could connect to the swing. He didn't like the swing at first. He just liked sitting in the seat without swinging movement. Some nights he only wanted to sleep in Mom's arms. Nightly feedings always went like this: Daddy makes the bottle, Mama changed his diaper and gives him the bottle. Repeat every two-three hours every night! He would eat two-three ounces at each feeding. We used Mylicon in every other bottle. He had two five-hour sleep stints at night. Of course, Mama had to get up to check on him. Ainsley and Daddy both had bad colds this month. Mama enforced strict sanitizer and Lysol rituals to make sure Durham stayed healthy. He slept through both the baptism and most of his party afterward. He wore newborn and size one diapers.
